Morris is an award winning Canadian professional Deaf actor, ASL coach and consultant for many live theatres and films as well as being a Deaf Interpreter.
Elizabeth Morris is an award winning Canadian professional Deaf actor, ASL coach and consultant for many live theatres and films that have won awards. As a Deaf Interpreter she has interpreted for several plays.
Morris has the distinction of being the first Deaf signing actor at the Stratford Festival during the summer of 2017 playing the character “Florette”.
She is the co-founder of Deaf Spirit Theatre group, a three Deaf women troupe in Kingston, Ontario.
Her acting career has taken her around the globe (Japan, Australia, Europe, South Africa, and North America). She participated with two USA tour theatre companies "National Theatre of the Deaf" and "Quest for Arts".
She has a Masters in Design in Inclusive Design. Her research, passion and experiences in theatre as a Deaf actor, ASL coach and Deaf interpreter.
Elizabeth’s goal is making live theatre fully accessible and inclusive for the Deaf, hard of hearing and their families.
