Seeing My Voice Exhibit

Seeing My Voice was the culmination of a nine-month mentorship program for Deaf photographers. The photographers were mentored by Sheila Spence on how to create a gallery show. Further support was provided by Grafitti Gallery and Martha Street Studio.

The Seeing My Voice exhibition by the six Deaf photographers was a huge success; it was extended by five weeks past its planned closing date due to an outpouring of positive feedback received by the Curator.

The opening reception was an overwhelming success with roughly 170 people in attendance. Over 300 people taking in the show during its run.
