Town Hall

The Town Hall was set up to reintroduce the Deaf community to MCSD and to explain the changes the board has made to the organization. MCSD's Mission and Vision statements, along with their goals for the Deaf arts community, were read to the audience.

Approximately 100 people attended the Town Hall. A reception took place, including a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) arts display by 10 artists and a performance by the Deaf Mime Troupe. Door prizes were available to be won. A membership drive took place, with a special introductory offer—$25.00 for a three-year membership. DAM (Deaf Arts Manitoba) merchandise—T-shirts and caps—and the kids' book Splish Splat! were available for sale. ASL Interpreters were available for the evening. Refreshments were provided.

CTV News was in attendance.
